What is ‘Beaches Baby’?
Consider us your ‘village’ as you grow, develop, birth and raise your beautiful children.
We provide educator-led classes, workshops, support groups and more for all stages of your parenting journey.
Enter through our baby boutique located inside the Harbord Diggers in Freshwater.
Open 7 days a week, parking is free and there is a beautiful cafe, restaurants, plenty of outdoor space and bar on premises.
We strongly encourage our families to continue the conversation after class and head over to the deck and enjoy the view.
Beaches Baby is a safe place where Mums, Dads, Grandparents and Carers can come together and find meaningful relationships.
Not every day of parenting is sunshine and roses, we totally get that.
Half of the battle is finding your people so you’re not alone in those moments.
Our village will help you discover the joy of parenting.
I’ve been where you are.
A new mum, in a new city (for me, New York) craving information and a support network.
I just wanted to chat to another human and hear them say: ‘Me too’.
As a Childbirth and Postpartum Doula and CLEC – Certified Lactation Educator | Counsellor I set up a successful mum group in New Jersey. Our own ‘village’, if you will.
Upon my return from New York to Sydney I once again found myself feeling isolated and yearning for the safety of the ‘village’. I knew other carers needed it too.
As such Beaches Baby was born.
‘It takes a village to raise a child.’
Our village is never full and will always welcome new members with open arms.
I am passionate about creating a space where parents can connect with other people and find community.
Mums in particular, are isolated in the motherhood journey and just simply being able to have one meaningful conversation per day, can lift a new mum’s spirits and keep her from feelings of anxiety and loneliness.
Dads are more active, hands-on parents than ever before and are seeking each other out.
Families are changing. Single Parenting, Shared Parenting, LGBTQ families, Step Families and more, the vast and complex nature of family should be celebrated and normalized.
We are moving more than ever - cities, states, countries and often having to reinvent ourselves, our lives and social connections. Friends move away, go back to work, drift apart and starting again shouldn’t be so hard. Sometimes, we don’t find our people first go go and we have to look again.
Beaches Baby is a safe place where Mums, Dads, Grandparents and Carers can come and find meaningful relationships and attend classes that help to enrich their child’s mental and social connections.
